PUTTING LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES IN THE NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT Through Substack and instagram

01 / THE OPPORTUNITY

Amazon Small Business wanted to shine a light on the entrepreneurs, creativity and ambition behind the small businesses selling in its store. The opportunity was to celebrate their stories, showcase their contributions to local communities and highlight how Amazon helps them grow and reach new audiences while staying true to their roots.

02 / THE OPPORTUNITY

We developed a creator-led storytelling campaign across six US states, partnering with more than 25 creators to celebrate the people, businesses and communities behind the products available in Amazon's store.

With Substack at the heart of the strategy, we collaborated with influential voices including The Home Edit, Camille Styles, Sohla El-Waylly and Amrit Tietz, moving beyond conventional influencer endorsements to create deeper, editorial-style storytelling.

Through founder interviews, curated shopping guides and personal recommendations, creators spotlighted local businesses including Super Smalls, P.F. Candle Co., Nopalera and Huxley & Kent, demonstrating how Amazon enables independent entrepreneurs to reach new audiences while remaining rooted in their communities.

Supported by Instagram and short-form social content, the campaign connected local discovery with national reach, making small-business stories personal, relatable and shoppable.

03 / THE IMPACT

The campaign brought the stories of 25+ small-business owners to life across six states, celebrating local entrepreneurship through authentic, creator-led storytelling.

The content exceeded all paid-media performance goals, demonstrating the power of trusted local voices and compelling founder stories to connect audiences with Amazon's small-business community.
